Bupa wanted to implement and embed a coaching culture to drive results in quality, efficiency through colleague engagement. We know the best way to teach leaders how to coach is to fully emerse them in the coaching experience. Work on the areas that cannot be taught but can only be coached confidence, self-belief, motivation & skills.
What we did

We embarked on individual coaching sessions (usually reserved for CEOs) for Leaders who were responsible for the customers experience, coaching 25 operational leaders on all the various topics that coaching throws up; motivation, performance, relationship challenges, influencing skills, career choices, assertiveness, confidence.

Our sessions started with a 3 way discussion with the line manager, the coachee & the coach to get absolute clarity on what the goal was and get absolute transparency on where improvements could be made.

Once those guys felt the power of coaching & saw results in their work and personal lives, we then delivered coaching workshops to embed coaching skills to be passed down through the organisation.

…The coaching experience has been brilliant, both in terms of having a coach and attending the coaching sessions. I have found that working with my coach helps me get much needed perspective on issues. I am also trying to employ some of the useful coaching techniques in my interactions with my team!
