We Finally Launched Our New Website

Well… it’s here. It’s live. It’s shiny and new. And it only took two years and approximately 147 cups of “let’s brainstorm over a brew” to get this website out into the world.

Yes, It Took 2 Years—Let’s Talk About That

If you’ve been waiting for it, you’re very patient. If you didn’t notice we were still rocking that vintage 2010 look, fair enough. Either way, welcome to the new digital home of marmalade, where leadership meets clarity, coaching meets action, and websites… eventually get finished.

So, why did it take so long?

I could give a myriad of reasons, all valid. We were too busy working with clients to develop a new site, a new baby arrived, a rethink of strategy & brand but the short answer is:

procrastination.

Longer answer: good old-fashioned, fully rationalised, deeply strategic procrastination. (The kind where you convince yourself that reworking your “About” page font size is more important than just publishing the thing.)

We teach leaders how to move through uncertainty, navigate decision paralysis, and take decisive action. So, you’d think we’d be able to nail getting our own stuff done?

Nope, we’re human too.

Procrastination doesn’t always look like Netflix binges and snack breaks.

Sometimes it looks like over-planning, perfectionism, “we need just one more case study,” or “let’s wait until Q4 when things calm down” (narrator: things never calmed down in Q4).

But here’s what we’ve learned—and what we coach others through all the time: procrastination is usually fear in disguise. Fear of it not being good enough. Fear of being visible. Fear of committing to a direction and (gasp) maybe having to update it later.
